Kimi Raikkonen is the new F1 Champion!

It was 1:10am and I was planning to hit the sheets already, but couldn't tahan! Just had to see the ending of the last race of the season. Since it was to be an epic finale to a controversial season, where 3 drivers were in contention for the F1 crown. It could have easily gone either one's way. One engine failure, would've given anyone of the three the coveted prize. If Alonso won, it would've been his third championship. If Kimi won, it would've been his very first, and if it was to go Hamilton's way, he would go in history as the youngest driver as well as the only rookie to win in his first F1 race! So I was rooting for Hamilton actually. But of course, since my sis is a Kimi fan, I hoped Kimi would win too.

Well, it was well worth staying up till 1:45am till the end. In the last 15 laps, Kimi was leading, with Alonso in third. Hamilton had a gearbox failure near the start of the race which caused him to drop back to about 8 placing. With that positioning, Kimi was leading the championship race by just 1 point (in front of Alonso). But anything could still happen. All Hamilton had to do was get up to 6th position, and he'd win the championship. The commentators were saying, as long as one of the cars in front of him breaks down, he'll win. So it was a pretty tense 15 laps. Exciting! :P

But it was Kimi's day. He won!!! :D Congrats May! You must be damn happy! Hehe... :P
