Sum, your true color is Brown!

You're brown, a credible, stable color that's reminiscent of fine wood, rich leather, and wistful melancholy. Most likely, you're a logical, practical person ruled more by your head than your heart. With your inquisitive mind and insatiable curiosity, you're probably a great problem solver. And you always gather all of the facts before coming to a timely, informed decision. Easily intrigued, you're constantly finding new ways to challenge your mind, whether it's by reading the newspaper, playing a trivia game, or composing a piece of music. Brown is an impartial, neutral color, which means you tend to see the difference between fact and opinion easily and are open to many points of view. Trustworthy and steady, you really are a brown at heart.

Now, does that sound like me to you? Comments please! :P

Anyone wants to give it a try? :)

A picture of my injured baby...

See how badly injured my baby is? :(
The left rear sensor is totally gone. Everytime I reverse now, it makes the annoying beeping sound. Sigh... And now I actually have to LOOK backwards to see if I am hitting anything at the back! Haha... :P

Workshop in HK

One of the occasionally perks I get from my job is that I get to travel sometimes on workshops that are held overseas. Because I've been working on one of the new reporting requirements that was implemented about 2 years back, I've had the chance to stay in S'pore for 2 weeks and 2-3 days in HK... which was quite fun. Well, it would've been more fun if I didn't have other work to worry about back in KL. But what the heck... I was relieved to be able to get away from KL work for awhile. :)

But, it didn't turn out to be THAT much fun after all. Coz I went to HK not really knowing what the weather was like. So I just packed light... and I really do mean extremely LIGHT. I thought that with my work jacket, I can tahan around 18-19 degrees.. no problemo.

And as always, Murphy's Law applies... the moment we landed, we saw the news saying that the weather for the next two days will be the coldest, and that it will go down to approximately 10 degrees Celsius!!!! Alamak!! I was so screwed! So for the two days I was there, I was freezed to my bones. Non-stop shivering and sniffing away... it was terrible! At night when I slept, I actually had to wear the bathrobe just to keep warm! The second day, I had to borrow a jacket and a scarf from some colleagues, just so I could walk out into the cold for lunch. Sigh...

Moral of the story? Always bring the weather with you... and check the weather forecast before going anywhere! :P

By the way, we got a deluxe harbour view room at the Excelsior, and this is the view from our bedroom window... :)

Casshern - Quotes from the movie

Why do we keep fighting?
We hurt others by our very existence.
That's just the way we live.
We need to learn to forgive.
Need to realise that existence is to be shared.
We're not just here to exist;
but to find the strength to co-exist.
It may start from something small,
it may even seem impossible.
But we must start from somewhere.

Hope... our legacy.
============================================================
The movie is pretty slow (I actually slept through most part coz I was quite tired!), but I did catch the ending and it's got an interesting story line. Kinda something along the lines of redemption and learning about meaning of our existence... and karma. Do watch if you've got the time. :)

My poor baby!!!

Last weekend, I went on another hunt to Melaka. If I had known that it would turn out to be the worst hunt weekend I've ever had, I would never have gone!!! Sigh... :( Things couldn't have gone more wrong. First, I had to cancel on a good friend who was coming all the way back from Oz for an ex-colleague's wedding. (Sorry!). Secondly, I had to work late on Friday nite (and every night before that) that I forgot to buy the hotdogs I was delegated to buy. Thirdly, I didn't get a good night's sleep so I woke up the next day feeling groggy and with a slight headache... not a good start to a hunt day at all! Throughout the entire hunt, I had to battle the heat and a pounding headache... and it didn't help that the questions were really really tough. Towards the end, I was ready to give up already. All I could think of was to get to the finish control as soon as possible so that I can just get some sleep and rest my poor head. :(

But of course, that was not all that went wrong that day... just a few questions away from the finishing line (and we were already running late), my poor baby V was involved in an accident!! :( We were slowing to a stop, and about a second later a white Kancil just rammed into my back! I was so shocked. I guess it didn't really show coz I was really feeling quite sick at that time. We all got out of the car and had to talk to the Malay security guard who was driving the Kancil. On inspection, my Vios bumper was dented quite badly. Sigh... what a bad day. :(

The next day (after another bad night's sleep coz I was really feeling very sick that night), I had to go to the police station with my friend to make a police report so that I can claim insurance. My friend estimated that it would probably cost around RM800 to fix. I better be able to claim third party insurance on that! Otherwise, I'm gonna be broke. :(

There was a slight complication too. After I made the police report, I was told that the investigating officer was not around and so could not take my statement. I expressed my concern to the police officer that I would be heading back to KL that day, and would not want to have to go back to Melaka if indeed the statement is absolutely required. However, I was assured that it was ok. But of course, as usual, the worst had to happen. I got a call the night I got back to KL from the investigating officer, who insisted that I have to go back to Melaka for him to take my statement. :(

But all is well now... I gave the investigating officer a call this morning, and after a short chat he told me that it's ok, and that I don't have to go Melaka! Phew! :) Now all I have to do is make that claim to my insurer and get my baby back to its glory days. :)

[Will post a picture of my injured baby soon. :) ]
